Dear hotel designers, please don’t put your bathroom lights on a motion-activated timer, and, if you absolutely must, make sure that timer lasts longer than a normal shower, when the occupant will be out of view of the motion detector.
This seems especially poignant, as we ended up in one of the designated ADA rooms, which is specifically designed for people with mobility issues, some of whom will almost certainly take longer in the shower than I, and have more difficulty safely navigating a pitch black bathroom while naked and wet to trigger the motion detector.
